We write creative content…

It all begins with an idea

We want people to see the world in a different way

We want them to think differently

We want them to be truly connected

We are guided by the values of Ngarrang Marrambu - listening with gratitude - our aim is to create “healing histories” for a more promising future….

Ngarrang Marrambu Design

Eucalyptus trees are symbolic of Ancestors, growth, Country, family and renewal. The embodiment of Ancestors, DNA rooted in Country providing strength and stability. Three branches symbolise the past, present and future and the new shoots represent a feeling of hope, justice and renewal. The curvy aspects of the design show that no journey is linear or straight-forward. Bold colours, lines, shapes and style give the logo/company story prominence, a unique identity that is purposeful, cultural and identifiable by audiences.

Black/grey: Represents burnt, hardship, interruption by outside forces, resilience, feeling of being burnt by past injustices

Orange: The embers from a fire, enduring spirit, strength, light

Greens: Colours of green and leaves represent the new growth, renewal, healing, listening, speaking, reclaiming, nurturing relationships, cultivating the new

At Ngarrang Marrambu we do three things:

We work with the people affected, listening and documenting;

We research all aspects of the history in consultation with them; and

We produce outcomes that have the capacity to heal and we then share them…

Our
Values…

…are based on Aboriginal Australian and other Indigenous peoples’ cultural ways of being….

..seeking to make, improve and preserve relationships…

through practicing these principles…

…(putting principles before personalities)…

Transparency

Innovation

Humility

Finding common ground

Compassion

Respect

Honesty

Seeking to form good/ productive/ sustaining /loving relationships

We aim to deal with difficult histories

in order to improve the wellbeing of those badly affected

- trauma, abandonment, worthlessness and poor wellbeing -

Lead to unhappy lives and disillusionment….

History can also heal…

Many of our certainties about our histories need to be tested with the evidence….

Our ideas about our personal. histories can make us feel bad, feel shame, feel guilt…

These are not productive emotions…

They affect our wellbeing…

They hold us back from being the best we can be…

Our ideas about the history of our people, our race, our nation, can lead us to false pride…

History is complex, we will never be able to know all of it, what happened at every minute of every day…

There are great deeds and there are dastardly deeds, it is such a mixed bag…

It is about interpretation and also imagination…

We need to approach the past with gratitude for what the ancestors have provided for us…

And also humility -for we can never know “the truth”, only that we are all only human

We are a team of like minded creative consultants, historians and researchers….
